RED

By John Logan

Sponsored by FRESH PAINT

When abstract expressionist Mark Rothko is commissioned to paint murals for New York’s famed Four Seasons Restaurant, he throws himself into the work with relentless intensity—joined by his young assistant, Ken. As their collaboration deepens, Ken begins to push back, forcing Rothko to confront a devastating question: Will this be his masterpiece—or his downfall? RED is a riveting portrait of artistic ambition, power, and vulnerability in the pursuit of something enduring.

RED will be performed in the Royal Credit Union Foundation Black Box Theatre at the Hanifl Performing Arts Center and has general admission seating.

Annie

By Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse & Martin Charmin

Sponsored by:
BRADSHAW FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES

Little orphan Annie is given the chance of a lifetime when she’s invited to spend Christmas at the mansion of billionaire Oliver Warbucks in 1930s New York. With boundless optimism and charm, Annie captures the hearts of everyone she meets—thwarting Miss Hannigan’s crooked plans along the way and discovering the true meaning of family. Full of iconic songs like “It’s a Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” and the timeless anthem “Tomorrow,” Annie is a joyful holiday tradition that the whole family will love.

The 39 Steps

Adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan

Sponsored by: NORTH LAKES FINANCIAL GROUP

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, throw in a dash of Monty Python, and you get The 39 Steps—a fast-paced whodunit bursting with theatrical magic! This award-winning comedy features nonstop laughs, more than 150 outrageous characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of four), an onstage plane crash, missing fingers, and just the right amount of romance. It’s an unforgettable experience blending high-stakes hilarity and classic mystery.

The Importance of Being Earnest

By Oscar Wilde

The road to true love is delightfully tangled in The Importance of Being Earnest. Jack Worthing wants to marry the elegant Gwendolyn Fairfax, but must first win over her formidable mother, Lady Bracknell. Meanwhile, Jack’s charmingly deceitful friend Algernon Moncrieff has his eye on Cecily, Jack’s ward—and a few secrets of his own. Between mistaken identities, alter egos, and sharp wit, Wilde’s timeless comedy skewers romance, society, and the absurdities of Victorian life in a brilliantly farcical romp.

Once Upon a Mattress

By Mary Rodgers, Marshall Barer, Jay Thompson & Dean Fuller

The classic fairy tale The Princess and the Pea gets a hilarious twist in this raucous and romantic musical comedy! Queen Aggravain has decreed that no one in the kingdom may marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a bride—but every princess is subjected to the Queen’s outrageously impossible tests. Just when hope seems lost, along comes Winnifred the Woebegone, a bold and unpolished princess from the swamp, who just might be up to the challenge. Packed with catchy tunes, laugh-out-loud moments, and a cast of colorful characters, Once Upon a Mattress is a charming musical adventure for the whole family.
