Auditions typically take place 2-4 months ahead of the show dates for each production. Lakeshore Players Theatre announces auditions on this page and Minnesota Playlist, as well as our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Unless otherwise indicated, all roles are non-union adults aged 18+.
Lakeshore Players Theatre is excited to announce auditions for Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS.
This classic, family-friendly musical follows two successful song-and-dance men who team up with a talented sister act and head to a Vermont inn for the holidays. When they discover the inn is owned by their former commanding general and struggling to stay afloat, they set out to put on a spectacular show and bring a little Christmas magic back to the season. Featuring beloved songs like “White Christmas,” “Blue Skies,” “Sisters,” and “I Love a Piano,” White Christmas is a joyful celebration of friendship, romance, generosity, and the power of putting on a show. Full of dazzling dance numbers, warm humor, and unforgettable music, this holiday classic is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

FRONT OF HOUSE OPPORTUNITIES
LAKESHORE PLAYERS THEATRE IS CURRENTLY SEEKING part-time
FRONT OF HOUSE / HOUSE MANAGERS.
Position: Front of House Associate / House Manager
Reports to: Box Office Supervisor, Marketing & Development Manager
Job type: Hourly / Flexible: weekends, evenings, with occasional daytime shifts
Salary: $15 per hour
Deadline: Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and interviews conducted on a rolling basis until the positions are filled
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Front-of-House Associate / House Manager delivers exceptional customer service while supporting all aspects of front-of-house operations. Responsibilities include processing ticket sales, subscriptions, and education registrations by phone, email, and in-person; selling and reconciling concessions; overseeing front-of-house staff and volunteer ushers during performances; ensuring a safe, welcoming patron experience; and providing support in all front-of-house roles as needed through cross-training.
Handle all aspects of the box office, including answering ticket office phone lines, emails, and assisting patrons in-person, ensuring a high level of customer service
Sell concessions during performances
Serve as House Manager during performances, including welcoming patrons, assisting with seating, and making occasional speeches for emergency or informational purposes (training provided)
Assist minimally with lights and sound during events if needed (training provided)
Instruct, assist, and serve as the main contact for event volunteers
Distribute will-call tickets and assist with day-of event sales
Work closely with the Box Office Supervisor on data entry, paperwork, and procedures for accurate record keeping and sales
Accurately process payments, including cash
Represent Lakeshore Players at special events, if available
Attend required training and meetings; perform additional tasks as assigned including light cleaning and maintenance duties
Maintain a focus on the patron experience, even under pressure
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Flexible schedule: evenings and weekends are required
Able to pick up a minimum of 1-2 shifts per production (theatre, concerts and other)
Demonstrates leadership skills and a desire to contribute to the organization’s growth
Knowledge of industry practices
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry; capable of learning new systems
Experience with cash handling and cash registers
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Comfortable switching between tasks regularly
Punctual
