How to Direct a Play

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP

Saturday, February 7 | 2:00 - 5:00 PM

Led by Craig Johnson

 A focused, hands-on introduction to the director’s toolkit. Learn how to shape a scene, work with actors, and translate text to stage. Great prep for anyone considering the Act, Write, Direct series or future productions.

4-SESSION COURSE

Saturdays, February 7-28 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Led by Brian Harmon

Get a taste of all three sides of the stage in this lively, hands-on class! Whether you’re new to theater or looking to sharpen your creative skills, you’ll explore acting, writing, and directing, often all in the same session. Collaboration and curiosity drive the class; students quickly take the reins, experimenting and surprising themselves with what they can create.

Led by Taj Ruler

Looking to loosen up, laugh, and get creative? Join veteran improviser Taj Ruler for a fun, high-energy class that celebrates spontaneity and play. With experience at renowned theaters like HUGE, Brave New Workshop, and Second City, Taj brings a wealth of expertise and joy to the room. You’ll explore classic improv games, character work, and storytelling while building confidence and embracing the “yes, and” mindset that makes improv (and life) more fun. No experience required, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to jump in!
