Franz Liszt AND HIS THREE PRODIGIES || jUNE 1ST AND 2ND, 2019
"Franz Liszt and his three prodigies: Moritz Rosenthal, Hans von Bulow, and Adele aus der Ohe" will be presented in a concert as a prelude to the much anticipated play Adele aus der Ohe by LaWayne Leno. A narrative by Liszt and a piano concert set in 1884 in Weimar, Germany will lead up to Adele aus der Ohe performing at Carnegie Hall, and the Schubert Club in St. Paul in the 1800's.
The three teenager pianists representing the three prodesgies are well-known in the Twin Cities and have won many competitions. They are Jacob Taggart (Moritz Rosenthal), Joseph Caswell (Hans von Bulow), and Clara Belle Wrolstad (Adele aus der Ohe). Clara Belle has already played at Carnegie Hall four times and will be performing the role of Adele aus der Ohe in the play presented at a later date.
After the dedication of our new Steinway Concert Grand, a piano scholarship will be awarded. Please join us for a piano concert featuring three great virtuosos of the 19th century performed by three great piano prodigies of today! Presented June 1st at 2:00 pm and June 2nd at 7:00 pm.
